We are proud to announce the official opening of our Cardiac Direct Access Clinic (CDAC) in Anchorage. At AHVI, we have always believed that high-quality cardiovascular care should be available right here in Alaska. You should not need to be admitted to a hospital, endure long wait times, or travel out of state to get the help you need. The CDAC reflects our continued commitment to improving access to cardiovascular care and delivering the highest level of service to patients throughout Alaska.

The CDAC supports timely, care access for urgent but non‑emergent cardiac issues—concerns that can’t wait for a routine appointment but don’t require a visit to the emergency room. At the CDAC, our goal is to evaluate patients within 72 hours. Our specialized team can quickly evaluate symptoms or situations such as:

  • Shortness of breath
  • A heart that is beating fast or in an unusual way
  • Concerns about blood pressure
  • A new or unexplained heart murmur
  • An abnormal EKG result
  • A heart check needed before surgery
  • Follow-up care after a recent hospital or ER visit

The CDAC is not an emergency room. If you are going through any of the following, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room right away:

  • Severe or ongoing chest pain
  • Passing out or losing consciousness
  • Serious trouble breathing or unstable vital signs
  • Any other symptoms that feel like a medical emergency

Our goal at AHVI is a future where every Alaskan has a healthy heart, and the CDAC is one more step toward making that happen. When your heart is telling you something is not right, you should not have to wonder where to go or how long you will have to wait.

The CDAC is open Monday-Friday and will see patients between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM. The clinic is located within the T-Tower of Providence Health Park at 3841 Piper Street, Suite T-240, next to the Interventional Clinic.
