Lee Pierson, MD

Dr. Pierson completed his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees at Virginia Tech, then pursued his medical studies at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. Subsequently, he completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Duke University Medical Center. Seeking further specialization in cardiology, he undertook fellowships at the renowned Cleveland Clinic in Ohio and Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, GA. He is certified by the American Board of Nuclear Cardiology, the National Board of Echocardiography, and the American Board of Internal Medicine in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology.

Dr. Pierson is a dedicated cardiologist with a passion for providing top-notch, compassionate and up-to-date treatment options. His commitment to staying informed about the latest advancements in cardiology, extensive educational background and rigorous training underscore his expertise and unwavering pursuit of excellence make him a welcome addition to AHVI’s team. In his leisure time, Dr. Pierson stays mentally and physically active by reading, exercising and partaking in outdoor pursuits such as hiking while he explores Alaska’s breathtaking landscapes.
