Katye Abeles, ACNPC-AG

Katye Abeles, ACNPC-AG, joined the Alaska Heart and Vascular Institute in March 2024 as a specialist in Adult Geriatric-Acute Care. Throughout her career, Katye has focused on cardiology, particularly early detection and preventative care. Her deep-rooted passion for connecting with the community and enhancing access to quality care, which aligns perfectly with AHVI’s mission, is a testament to her commitment to community care.

Katye completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Mississippi University for Women and earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Purdue University. Her certifications include the American Board of Nursing Specialties in trauma and critical care, and she is nationally recognized as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in Adult Geriatric care.

Away from her professional life, Katye is an avid outdoorswoman and her active lifestyle, which includes hiking, biking, kayaking, skiing, and swimming, is a monument to her belief in maintaining a balanced, health-oriented lifestyle.
