Jonathan (JJ) Tower is a born and raised Alaskan who is proud to call Anchorage home. His grandfather was Dr. John Tower, a small town pediatrician in Anchorage in the early days, and his father is Dr. Stephen Tower, the orthopedist. Now that he is working in cardiology, there are patients who will have been taken care of by three generations of Tower.

While a member of Medex Anchorage, a program that specializes in educating PAs to meet the needs of critical access and rural area, JJ rotated in Talkeetna and Naknek during the winter, and Ketchikan during the summer. These experiences would teach the importance of patient history, and classic physical examination skills in directing appropriate care.

When not working in Providence, Regional, the AHVI imaging center, or clinic, JJ enjoys mountain biking, rock climbing, running with his dogs, fishing on the kenai, and hunting caribou on Adak.
