Colton Stenger, NP, AGACNP-BC, is an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner who joined AHVI in 2025 after completing his Master of Science in Nursing at Augustana University. Born and raised in Palmer, Alaska, Colton brings a unique perspective to healthcare, having spent five years as a wildland firefighter for the State of Alaska before entering the medical field. During his time battling wildfires throughout Alaska and the Lower 48, he gained firsthand experience in emergency management under high-pressure conditions that now inform his approach to acute care.
With a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from Oregon State University and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Augustana University, Colton built his clinical foundation working as a critical care nurse before pursuing his graduate education. Board certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center and specializing in adult-gerontology acute care, he is eager to provide exceptional care to patients in his home state, combining his emergency response background with advanced practice expertise.
Outside of work, Colton enjoys spending time outdoors, hunting with his family and watching NFL games on Sundays while rooting for his favorite team, the Indianapolis Colts.
