
Matt Shryock, MSN, FNP-C was born and raised in small Montana town nestled between a lake and mountains, an environment that first cultivated his hunger for adventure, the outdoors and healthy living. He pursued his undergraduate degree in Human Biology at The University of Montana before returning to complete a degree in Registered Nursing. He moved to Alaska in 2014 and worked as an RN in the Emergency Department at Providence Alaska Medical Center for 4 years. His professional experience includes organ donation, cardiac catheterization, and emergency nursing.
He graduated with a Master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Gonzaga University and joined the Alaska Heart and Vascular Institute in 2019. He enjoys practicing all aspects of cardiology in both the hospital and clinic settings. Outside of work, Matt enjoys traveling, mountain running, yoga, backcountry mountaineering, Nordic skiing, and cooking healthy, delicious meals.
