If you have a heart or lung condition, or if you’re over 60, you are at high risk for dying with COVID-19 infection. You have every reason to be extra-careful about avoiding infection. Wash your hands, stay away from people, and practice social distancing.
We are committed to protecting our patients from this serious infection. We will continue to provide first-rate cardiovascular care as we modify our practice to protect you. We are setting up telemedicine services so that you can receive our services from the comfort and safety of your home. If you do need to come in, we will keep you physically separated from others.
Practically, this means that we will delay non-urgent visits for 14 days after jet travel. We are requesting that you NOT be accompanied by family or friends unless necessary for mobility. If you have fever or symptoms of possible infection, call us and we will coordinate further evaluation.
We are postponing routine annual rechecks, and non-urgent follow up visits as we make our adjustments.
Stay tuned, and WASH YOUR HANDS!
Your friends at Alaska Heart.
