Please join us in welcoming Dr. Stephens to our team of cardiologists!
We are pleased to welcome John C. Stephens, M.D., MBA, FACC, to our team of cardiologists. Prior to joining us at AHVI, Dr. Stephens was an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University’s Lerner College of Medicine and a clinician-educator and staff cardiologist at Cleveland Clinic. While there, Dr. Stephens served as the director of the inpatient cardiology consultation service, contributed to research efforts of the Cleveland Clinic Coordinating Center for Clinical Research, was a member of the echocardiography core lab for the pivotal PARTNER trial (evaluating the safety and efficacy of trans-catheter aortic valve replacement procedures), and participated on liver and renal transplantation selection committees.
Dr. Stephens’ areas of experience and expertise include the management of coronary artery disease, structural heart disease, heart failure, cardiac arrhythmias, and peripheral vascular disease. He has decades of experience as a celebrated teacher, is published in multiple peer-reviewed medical journals, and has presented regularly at cardiology conferences throughout his career. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Akron with bachelor’s degrees in chemistry and microbiology and earned his medical degree from the University of Toledo. In recent years, he rounded out his education with an MBA from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business. We are delighted to welcome him to our team!
